Up for grabs!

It was a striking flower that looked like it wanted nothing but to grab anything that came close to it. Really beautiful little thing!

BOOM!!

Diwali - the festival of lights. As night engulfs all, the sky suddenly lights up with the colours of a million crackers and rockets launched into the heavens in celebration of the triumph of good over evil.

The Taj

Alright, since I haven't posted here in quite a while, I'll compensate with a little something from the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. This was a few days before the place got bombed by terrorists - the 26/11 attacks. Beautiful hotel flaunting it's Mughal-style architecture and plush interiors. And their lunch buffet is simply to die for!
A definite stop for anyone visiting!

Bottoms up!

Good ambience, good friends and a round of drinks. Sounds good isn't it?
Well, this one was nothing like it. A random bar near college one boring evening with some equally bored friends made for some awesome drunk conversation.

Autorickshaw

Mumbai is a wonderful place. A place of dreams, a place of reality. Somewhere you go to lose yourself, and somewhere you can find your soul. An autorickshaw is the most convenient mode of transport in the suburbs where the traffic is crazy and crowds innumerable. Three wheels and short turns make these rickshaw drivers some of the most skilled yet some of the craziest drivers in the world.

Red marks the spot!

This little red-whiskered bulbul made it her mission to build a nest balanced on my window so that I could not shut it for the next few weeks, which brought in mosquitoes by the dozen to sing me to sleep. But it was all worth the wait when the fragile but heartening tweets of the baby birds brought life to the nest. The two parents worked day and night to feed their little babies and one by one they learnt to fly. I'd sit at my window for long hours staring at them.

It's awesome to witness the birth and bloom of new life.

First post!

Since this is the first post, I'd like to start off with an image of my favourite avatar of God - Lord Ganesha.
This was taken during Visarjan - the last day of the Ganesha festival when people bid farewell to the Lord by immersing Him in the ocean.

About This Blog

From the time I picked up my Canon EOS 450D, I've been hooked onto photography. Every photo tells a different story, and I love discovering them. Shooting is a constant experience and I've grown more attached to my camera than ever. This blog is my attempt to share with you the wonderful stories these photos tell me.
